How to Play Electronic Poker

Electronic Poker is a beloved game that is able to be played in casinos around the world, or in your house on your personal computer, through an Internet connection. The rules are very straightforward and consist of the player trying to get the best assemblage of cards possible in order to acquire money. In this respect it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, without the involvement with any other players. Of course, tactics used in a real-life game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless in Video Poker.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler puts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the video poker machine and pushes the draw button. A hand of 5 cards will be electronically ‘handed out’ on the screen.

The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and enthusiasts will need to now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the player wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they want, whether it is all or none.

After the player has selected which cards he would like to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any fresh cards are needed they will be handed out. The game is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.

Typically, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money growing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payout schedule can range from game to game, so that discerning gamblers are able to choose the most money-making game each and every time.

Once the initial round has played out, the player can either choose to continue on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that they may have won. Further, several versions of the game allow the enthusiast an opportunity to double their profits, in which case another hand is played. There are also variations between specific machines, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other differing elements to increase playability.
